too good and too nice

Have you ever been so good and so nice that it came back to bite you? If you haven't then you will have no idea what I am talking about. Somehow God does not call us to be "good and nice." He calls us to love Him with all of our hearts. It is about a relationship with Him that somehow becomes more transparent both ways. Is it quite possible that the challenges in our earthly relationships might reflect the inadequacies in our relationship with God? Could it be that what blocks us from intimacy with others could also be hindering our intimacy with God? Nice only gets you so far. I'm still thinking about this.

    Hi Amy,
    Speaking of challenges in our earthly relationships, I have meant to call you many times but time slips away, doesn't it! I wanted to let you know, I appreciated your presence on the WRC stage during the family series. As much as I enjoy listening to your husband every Sunday, your energy on stage was refreshing and real. Thank you!

    I agree it can come back to bit sometimes, but 9 times out of 10 it will not...However one more thought, can we be nice without showing respect and can we be respectful without being nice, yes we can...So had we rather someone be nice or respectful to us...Your thoughts?
